Radical Left-wing candidates enjoy either bashing Christians or masquerading as a devout follower of Christ in order to win votes.
Either way, often these candidates are spreading falsehoods about the Gospel.
This time, a 2020 Democrat said something so outrageous about the Bible it will make you furious.
Mayor Pete Buttigieg is a gay man running for President that has made his faith a major part of his campaign and his story.
He often is forced to explain his faith to Democrat primary voters that do not share his beliefs.
Buttigieg is not the only 2020 Democrat that’s struggled with the faith issue this election cycle.
Joe Biden was recently denied Holy Communion at a Catholic church for his stance on abortion.
But what Buttigieg just said about the Bible officially crossed a line.
“Jesus speaks so often in hyperbole and parable, in mysterious code, that in my experience, there’s simply no way that a literal understanding of Scripture can fit into the Bible that I find in my hands.”
Essentially, Buttigieg declared that we can’t believe the literal word of God.
Rolling Stone reports:
Since the early stages of his presidential campaign, Mayor Pete Buttigieg has made his Christian faith a cornerstone, explicitly attacking the idea that “Christian” and “Republican” are synonymous terms, and eloquently questioning the motives of religious leaders who choose policy over morality and who have become Donald Trump’s faithful apologists on the national stage…
More specifically, he has argued that being married to his husband brings him closer to God; that one’s views of abortion should not be used by the religious right as a litmus test for one’s faith when it’s an issue that Jesus never even mentioned (though he did speak abundantly on charity and hospitality); and that the so-called “clobber” verses used to condemn homosexuality were cultural, along with so many other pronouncements the Bible makes that Christianity now disregards.
Buttigieg has gone on to try explaining how the Bible supports abortion on demand and same-sex marriage.
Nowhere in the Bible does God approve of either of these things.
He is either twisting Scripture to agree with his positions or just making it up entirely.
Christian leaders ought to speak out and make people aware that Buttigieg is spreading falsehoods about the Bible.
What do you think?
Does the Bible promote positions like abortion and same-sex marriage?
