What imprisoned abortionist Kermit Gosnell said about New York’s new law will leave you disgusted

158

Kermit Gosnell is a convicted abortionist.

He rots in a prison cell for first degree murder in 2013 for killing infants that survived his botched abortions.

But what he said about New York’s recent late-term abortion laws will make your jaw drop.

New York and Virginia have come under fire for their push to legalize late-term abortion.

And in an email obtained by the Daily Caller, Gosnell expressed his “doubts” that “rural conservatives” in his home state of Pennsylvania would consider laws making abortion up until birth legal.

Not only was Gosnell charged with murdering infants, he was also charged with involuntary manslaughter after a woman died that he was supposedly caring for.

At the time of his conviction, Gosnell claimed that his murderous practices would be “vindicated.”

He said:

“It helps that I very strongly believe myself to be innocent of the heinous crimes of which I am accused,” Gosnell said at the time.

“I sort of understand the circumstances and I continue to feel optimistic of the eventual outcome … the vindication of what I’ve done, why I’ve done it and how — [it] will all become accepted within my lifetime. It’s out of sight and out of my control. But I feel strongly that that will occur.”

Now it seems states like New York are helping Gosnell become vindicated.

The fact of the matter is Gosnell should rot in prison.

He ran an abortion clinic for 30 years.

During that time, he routinely delivered babies alive and then cut their necks with scissors and severed their spinal cords.

Gosnell isn’t doctor. He’s America’s biggest serial killer.

And now the Left is making late-term abortion one of their key platform pushes and passing laws legalizing the murder of babies out of the womb.

The issue of late-term abortion is gearing up to be a centerpiece of the 2020 presidential election.

And Trump is proving to be one of the most pro-life candidates the Republicans have seen in some time, making him uniquely qualified to take on the radical abortionists.

The 2020 election will be the fight for America’s soul.

What do you think? Should Trump make abortion a focal point of his campaign and force the Democrats to own up to allowing the murder of children?

Let us know in the comments.

  1. Gosnell will never be vindicated unless he comes to Jesus and truly repents for what he did. Jesus said woe unto those who harm a child. He may or may not be vindicated here but he will spend eternity in hell.

    • Fair warning: While sitting in a doctor’s office the other day, I picked up “Cosmopolitan” which contained one of the most vicious articles against pro-life, replete with slander against women who stood up for pro-life. Hopefully, more readers will become aware of Cosmopolitan’s vile intentions and take action.

  2. I have a question on late term abortion. If the child is born alive and appears to be able to do well at what point is it murder? If no one has an answer or willing to then if I were to be a qualified abortionist could I take the life of someone say 40 years old or older say a congress person. One that has shown themselves as a waist of skin with a lack of morals and personality. If so look out government!

    • What is being discussed medically is called post-partum abortions. That is the equivalent of shooting Nancy Pelosi in the head and instead of calling it murder, simply justified as post-partum abortion.

Therefore a serial killer is only carring out abortion after birth and no charges can be filed against the shooter.

      • I think what you are saying is for the condemnation of the murderer, but appartently others don’t read it that way ??? I think God makes it plain, if anyone takes a human life their own life should be required of them.

    • Yes there are in government those that have only one goal, and that is getting through the next election.
Speaking of being a savior we may want to spend some time in a pre-natal care unit to see some of the babies that the personell of the unit work so very hard to save. Then speak to some of the young people that are abortion saviors. Take the time to spend with some of the young people that were born with downs, or maybe some mental disability. There are those that have no regards for human life, but will go up in smoke if you happen to kill, or injure any other animal
My opinion is whether in the womb, or out of the womb it is still murder.

  3. Life begins at conception, so it is always murder. But since libs have no morals and don’t care that it is murder, sure, aborting them should be okay at any age.

    • Actually life begins after the first breath. Read your bible in genesis. “And G-d placed dust together and formed a man. And then He breathed the life ‘soul’ into the nostrils.”

In any other context it is simply a human’s gut feelings.

      • “And GOD placed dust…” Are you a moslime? That must be why you seem to be for killing babies. Maybe they should wrap them in suicide vests in order to kill them? Allah Uakbar.

      • So, would it make sense for God to breathe life into nothing then form the dirt into a man? You mistake the simple order of events for a “deep spiritual truth”. Life begins at conception! “I knew you before you were formed in the womb”

        • There is a key word there that you are overlooking. “before” “I knew you BEFORE you were formed in the womb.” He knew YOU before YOU were even in the womb. God is speaking about souls, not flesh. God very clearly points out that life begins at first breath. You exist from when you take first breath, when you are born.

          Genesis 2:7
7 And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; man became a living soul.

          born
          adjective
          1. existing as a result of birth.

          born
          a. Brought into life by birth.

          • By the word of the LORD the heavens were made, And by the breath of His mouth all their host.
            Psalms 33:6

Gods breath makes everything live, because life is by definition the breath of god within living things.

9 Then said he unto me, Prophesy unto the wind, prophesy, son of man, and say to the wind, Thus saith the Lord God; Come from the four winds, O breath, and breathe upon these slain, that they may live.10 So I prophesied as he commanded me, and the breath came into them, and they lived, and stood up upon their feet, an exceeding great army…
13 And ye shall know that I am the Lord, when I have opened your graves, O my people, and brought you up out of your graves, 14 And shall put my spirit in you, and ye shall live, and I shall place you in your own land: then shall ye know that I the Lord have spoken it, and performed it, saith the Lord.
            Ezekiel 37 9-10, 13-14

If he should set his heart to it and gather to himself his spirit and his breath, all flesh would perish together, and man would return to dust.
            Job 34: 14-15

Thus says God, the Lord, who created the heavens and stretched them out, who spread out the earth and what comes from it, who gives breath to the people on it and spirit to those who walk in it
            Isaiah 42:5

Life begins at first breath. Your bible says it over and over again.

          • Isn’t it funny that you can quote the Bible, but have no clue what it all means. Actually, it is not funny at all. You will know the truth the moment you die, but then it will be too late. You have rejected God. satan has you very brainwashed.

          • I can quote the bible because I studied it in college for 4 years and then taught it for another 20 years. My Atheism has nothing to do with my knowledge of the bible. Just because you don’t believe in Santa Clause doesn’t mean you have no knowledge of him, what he represents and teach children about him, does it?

          • You keep bragging about studying and teaching the Bible, yet in all that time have not applied what you read. I know 5-year-olds who are way ahead of you

          • What I said is not opinion. It is truth. But you have no clue of truth. Your degree means nothing at all. You have no knowledge of who God is. I know 5-year-olds who have accepted Jesus and know who He is and that He is there. You are spiritually ignorant. Your degree will do you no good at all when it is your turn to stand before Jesus to be judged.

          • If it makes you feel better to say those things about another human being, then go ahead. Doesn’t change facts and it won’t change my mind. But you continue your thoughts of being superior, even though god condemns that.

  4. BLM. WLM, OLM, ALM, HLM, MELM, BLM, All lives matter UNTIL it is a babies life, then it does not matter; but it should matter more than anyone can realize.

  5. Full term abortion is murder. President Trump will stand up for these innocent babies. The democrats are sinking their own boats. I believe the President will win re-election by a landslide. All 12 polls say the same thing.

    • I agree 100% with Steve. It is murder once a child is born because God calls it murder whether a person is 0-1 and anything older than that. Wake up America. We WILL come back on us to destroy us in God’s eyes.

  6. It’s Gods law! Thou shalt not KILL! Abortion is murder regardless of how you want to look at it. Also killing a human is murder regardless of their age. MURDER IS MURDER!!!!

    • Ah, but libs deny that a baby in the womb is human. They want you to believe it is just a blob of tissue and nothing more. They are very confused sad creatures.

      • Liberals think that a woman has more rights than a fetus. We support women in any choice they make. We don’t hate women. We do not think of women as breeding cattle. We do not enslave our women.

Every single DAY, 1,500 women will die unnecessarily during childbirth.
Guess how many women die during legal abortions?  Only 12 in 2009 for the entire US.
        Food for thought.

        • They have the same rights. A baby is a human being. Life begins at conception. Read a biology book. You are very confused. Not thinking of women as breeding cattle or slaves has nothing at all to do with it. Abortion is the murder of the most helpless and innocent human beings and very heinous. And PLEASE provide proof of the number of women who die during childbirth here in the U.S. It has become very rare here due to medical advances.

  7. He is one of the soul-less denizens of hell and servants of SATAN. His master SATAN awaits him in the underworld, where he will reside for eternity.

  8. There are a few questions I like to ask those thar are pro-choice.
1 Are you happy to be alive today?
2 Have you went to your mother and told her thank you for being pro-life and allowing me to be born?
3 If you are unhappy with life and don’t like the thought of babies being born, have you ever thought of taking your own life?

    • 1. Yes, for the most part. Like any other human.
      2. My mother was pro-choice. She believed in a woman’s choice to decide what is right for her.
      3. Why wouldn’t I like the thought of babies being born? Silly statement. And yes, I have thought of killing myself when I was a teenager.

      • So murdering a baby is just fine with you. That is very sick. Oh, so your mother believed a woman can decide what is right for HER. But the baby does not matter and has no choice in the matter. That is vile.

        • Murder is against the law. Abortions are not murder. It’s nice to know that god has someone to judge for him.

What I think is vile is the fact that you think a maybe, possible, could be, fetus has more rights than a woman. Why do you hate women?

          • You are very sad and have no concept of the truth. A baby is its own being and is not part of the mother. Read a biology book. Of course I don’t hate women. Your ignorance is profound. But a baby has the same right to life as everyone else does. And if you actually know anything about God, which you don’t, you would know hat He commands us to judge sin, which abortion is.

          • Biology: Egg, zygote, blastocyst, embryo, and fetus. These are the terms used in biology books, in medical books and that doctors use. It isn’t called a baby until it is out of the womb and takes its first breath.

If you have a baby in one hand and a zygote in the other and you can only save one, which you do you save?

          • You missed the part where a baby has everything it needs to live outside the womb the moment it is conceived. It doesn’t just suddenly acquire parts along the way. All it needs is to develop. There are lots of babies who are born prematurely and survive just fine. I have a cousin who weighed just one pound when she was born and she is a normal adult. You can deny it is a baby, but that is false. Why do you hate babies? And the answer to your question is very simple. The baby of course. If you are holding a zygote in your hand it is far beyond saving. It cannot live in your hand.

          • Your post contradicts itself. You first stated that a baby can live outside of a womb as soon at it is conceived, but your last statement stated that a zygote cannot live outside of a womb. Which proves the pro-choice stand, if a fetus needs the womb to survive, then it is part of the woman and the woman can decide what it wants to do with its own body.

  9. Trump should most definitely make this an issue for 2020. Evangelicals supported him on a promise to protect religious rights and he has done “some”…now we need to be thoroughly convinced…no half stepping.

  10. No one fears God anymore, nor desires HIS righteousness, so no, I don’t see America having a ‘come to Jesus moment’. God bless our great president Mr. Trump for working hard to MAGA – but America’s morals are deeply embedded in the sewer and I don’t see that changing any time soon. God help the honest hearted to escape this evil world to be with the Lord forever.

    • It’s true The United States is in a moral cesspool but this is not the first time she has been in one. There have been at least 2 major national revivals that changed the nations moral direction and climate! God can change the hearts of the American and I pray he does! In my eyes that will depend on whether God’s people will humble themselves and seek his will.

  11. Abortion is evil and condemned by God and any moral person.
I stand behind President Trump’s and promise to support him and protect my religious rights.

    • I disagree with you about it being condemned by God since he put a recipe for an abortion in the bible and he ordered the cutting open a pregnant woman and killing both. So your statement has a few flaws.

      • Kaci…God forbids the harming of a child, in or out of the womb. Because you have denied God and the truth you have no concept of what the Bible means. It is just a bunch of words to you. sad

          • Of course I have read it. You have no clue what it teaches. Like I said, it is only words. You have not applied what you read. You have no clue who Jesus is because you have rejected Him.That is your misfortune.

          • Sweetie, I went to college for 4 years to study the bible and then taught it for over 20 years. I believe that qualifies me to teach about the bible. Just because I no longer believe there is a god doesn’t take away from my knowledge of the bible.

          • He will. That is the truth that you deny. You claim to have read the Bible, but have no clue at all. I have done what you refuse to do. I have accepted Him as my Savior and I know that I will be with Him for eternity. You have the same chance to be saved.

          • Do you know what they say about assuming?

I had accepted Jesus as my savior, I was christened as a child and baptized later on in my life. I chose to no longer follow that path.

          • You can teach all you want, but you have no knowledge of what you are teaching. You are spiritually ignorant

          • satan knows the Bible, too, and he is more intelligent than you. He knows that God is there and he hates Him and will take as many to hell with him as he can. He’s got you where he wants you

          • Christians developed satan. One must believe in god in order to believe in satan. I do not believe in either.

          • So what if one of your students asked you what it is like to belong to Jesus? You can have no answer because you do not know

          • I can answer that question and I have answered that question to my students.

What part are you not getting, I was a Christian, now I am not? I know the answers to their questions, I just don’t believe it anymore.

          • It does not matter what you believe. You will know that both are very real the moment you die. I pity you. You pretend to know all about God, yet know nothing at all.

          • If you truly accepted Jesus as your Savior, you would know He is there and you would belong to Him. Either you did not really believe in Him at all and it means nothing, or if you did, you are in for an awakening. If you bother to read the Bible, you would know that once you belong to Jesus He will NEVER leave you. That is the promise He made and He does not break promises. So if you accepted Him, you belong to Him. You will find your way back to Him.

          • No, I won’t. I do not believe there is a god, period. If your faith makes you happy, great. I am happy for you. But please stop preaching to me. I am not interested. I have already been down that path. I support your choice, now please support mine.

          • It is very obvious that you have no concept at all of what a Christian is. So why do you lie? You can choose believe to what you want. But just because you believe something doesn’t mean it is true. I don’t care if you want to reject God, but you will.

  12. We live in a country today that execution of convicted, violent killers, rapists, felons, etc. is no longer legal in most states. And if they are on death row, they are kept alive, some as much as 20 years awaiting their do deserved fate (at taxpayer’s expense of course) and sometimes that law changes to no more executions. But for a child, it’s AOK to murder them, execute them on the Altar of Moloch (the abortionist’s table) and sacrifice them at will. How messed up is this. As Isaiah correctly prophesied we would be living in a time where right would be wrong, wrong is right, evil is good and good evil, bitter is sweet and sweet bitter and man are we ever there.

  13. “There is NO right to abortion in the US Constitution”-Antonin Scalia, Justice of the US Supreme Court.
    Abortion is MURDER.

  14. If only all the vicious demons who want to murder babies had been aborted- or let’s make that all the demonrats, the world would be a better place. I truly believe these heartless bastards are evil to the very core. What they want to do should be punishable by execution and I GUARANTEE I would love to do it and I would TREMENDOUSLY enjoy hearing them beg and plead and scream in absolute misery. They damned sure deserve it.

  15. with all the available birth control out there, why are the men and women still not being careful to avoid abortion in the first place. If you placed a large fine on deciding to abort, that will probably reduce abortions greatly.

  16. So many barron women would love to adopt ..women who don’t want to get pregnant can get birth control..God help us..this has become a sick society and it breaks my heart..

  17. Simply put abortion is murder. I find it unbelievable doctors will step up and perform this murdering deed, and charge the taxpayers of America for the act👹 Satan is very proud of there insanity and is waiting for them to come home to eternal damnation in there next life. God help these pathetic sinners doomed to HELL!!

  18. The institutionalized killing of billions of animals has led to global hunger, global warming, the energy, environmental, population and water crises. Why is it so hard to accept that there’s a slippery slope, a connection between the killing of animals and the killing of human beings?

The ancient eastern reincarnationist religions Hinduism, Buddhism, and Jainism all predate Christianity, all teach ahimsa, or nonviolence towards humans and animals alike to the point of vegetarianism, all are vegan-friendly, all oppose abortion, and all teach that abortion and war are the karma for killing animals, and that therefore, we cannot end abortion nor have peace on earth until first we abolish the killing of animals.

    • If you had studied the Holy Bible instead of listening to the Clif notes, you would know Christianity is the fulfillment of Judaism, is part of Judaism, and is as old as Judaism! They have existed since before the creation. In the beginning was the word and the word was with God and the word was God. Nothing that was created was created without the word.

    • Because there is no connection. God created us separate from the animals and put us above the animals. We have what no animal has…a soul. Killing animals has nothing to do with murdering babies. God commands that we take care of His creation, but does not forbid killing animals for food.

  19. I, as a Catholic who chose to have my baby at 16, feel personally responsible to do as much as I can to protect innocent babies. It was a struggle for me, but I never regretted my choice. I donate as much as I can and post to Facebook all the heinous things Planned Parenthood is spewing. What the he ll are these politicians advocating? Are these the middle ages?

  20. Abortions at any stage is
Murder – The word of “The
    Holy Bible” gives the directio
    THOU SHALT NOT KILL.

How more plain can that be.

      • Do you honestly think that believing in a god is what gives you morals? Before you quickly answer, think about all the so-called Christians that are sitting in prison right now for their immoral acts.

        https://www.statista.com/statistics/234653/religious-affiliation-of-us-prisoners/

        • Morals come from God, who gave them to us. You should know that. It is in the Bible. And are you really that stupid?????? Most Christians in prison became Christians AFTER they went there.

          • Murder rates are actually lower in more secular nations and higher in more religious nations where belief in God is widespread.

Of the top 50 safest cities in the world, nearly all are in relatively non-religious countries.

And within America, the states with the highest murder rates tend to be the highly religious, such as Louisiana and Alabama, but the states with the lowest murder rates tend to be the among the least religious in the country, such as Vermont and Oregon.

A 1999 Barna study that finds that atheists and agnostics actually have lower divorce rates than religious Americans.

Conservative Christian women experienced higher rates of domestic violence than non-affiliated women.

The most secular nations in the world report the highest levels of happiness among their population.

Numerous studies show that atheists and agnostics, when compared to religious people, are actually less likely to be nationalistic, racist, anti-Semitic, dogmatic, ethnocentric, and authoritarian. Secularism also correlates to higher education levels. Atheists and other secular people are also much more likely to support women’s rights and gender equality, as well as gay and lesbian rights. Religious individuals are more likely to support government use of torture.

Religion is not necessary for moral behavior.

          • So????? All that proves is that studies are not always accurate. I live in a state that is highly religious and has a very low murder rate. Any outcome can be slanted if the people doing it are not honest.

Notice how only 2 cities have slightly more than half of the people are religious. I will say it again, religion has nothing to do with morals.

          • God told us what is right and wrong and He gave each of us a conscience. What we choose to do is on us. Libs have decided that THEY are their own God and will do as they please.

  21. WHEEEOOOH STEVE: MY THOUGHTS, precisely. My question all along has been why are abortionists protected from being aborted. For the most part, the general opinion is that (just as you stated) the age difference. Only real difference is that the newly born can not defend himself whereas people like Gosnell and thousands of others can and will until such time as there are EXAMPLES of what happens to Child Murderers. Seems to me that a child MOLESTER gets treated by law – much more severely than a murderer. I still can’t figure out why that makes sense in anyone’s book – not that I condone either – but put them on a bit more of an equal footing, at least???

  22. Kaci Stahl March 24, 2019 at 5:27 pm

“My bachelor’s degree in Ministry disagrees with you.’

You say your bachelor’s degree disagrees with what the Bible says? What does God consider greater, His Word, the Bible, or a bachelor’s degree?

Knowledge is not omniscience, and it is to be rejected when it disagrees with the One Who is omniscient and all-wise and Who never makes errors.

I took five and a half years of full-time Bible school subjects and have taught the Bible for 50 years. So,…..according to your standards, I know way more truth than you, right?

      • God does not care at all about your degree. That is a fact. He cares only about what is in your heart and if you accept Him or not. You can deny Him all you want. He gives you that choice. You have the choice to follow Jesus to Heaven or satan to Hell. YOU get to choose one or the other. There is nothing else. You have chosen satan. You will know the moment you die that both God and satan are very real. You claim to know what the Bible teaches, yet you have no understanding of it at all. You have rejected its message and are spiritually dead. Your degree will not get you into Heaven, but your denial of Jesus’ great gift and sacrifice will get you into Hell. Jesus is there for all who will come to Him, but He will never force Himself on you. He paid for your way to Heaven but you have embraced satan instead. You still have time to change your mind. You keep bragging about your degree, but Jesus does not require a degree, just repentance. It costs nothing for you to be saved. He already paid for it on the cross.

  23. Succinctly stated, there are no atheists in hell. Once you are there, you become a believer real fast. But by then, it is eternally too late for you. I’m not calling atheists fools, but God does and you are a fool because of His Word: Psalm 14:1  To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David. The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good.

Psalm 53:1  To the chief Musician upon Mahalath, Maschil, A Psalm of David. The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. Corrupt are they, and have done abominable iniquity: there is none that doeth good.

So there you have it, by the mouths of two or more witnesses, let every word be established.

  24. It’s amazing to me that as a retired US Naval Commander, ship driver, served in Viet Nam, etc. I have known many atheists and have heard them call out to God as the bullets were flying at us. Why would they do that to an entity they do not believe in? Knew a Pastor once who was having this debate with an atheist on an airplane once when the plane hit an updraft and the atheist grabbed the arms of the chair and screamed, “oh God”. Guess he was about to discover “it is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.” (Heb 10:31). Have you ever heard about the mid wife who was with the famous French atheist Voltaire at his bedside as he was dying Kaci?  She made a statement that for all the wealth in Europe, she would never set by the bedside of another infidel and watch him die. Do you want to know why Kaci? Voltaire was screaming and cursing at her to pick his legs up from the bed, his arms, they were burning in the flames. I would say that Voltaire was getting a hearty taste of what was awaiting him. I don’t care Kaci if you have as many degrees as a thermometer (myself included). I am not a member of any denomination, I am just “a member in particular” as the Bible says. The Lord’s biggest enemy in His time was religion, the man made tradition and ceremonies of His day and I would surmise it was tradition and ceremony that drove you away from Christ. What was it? Jesus said it well when He talked to the religious leaders of His day when He told them that full well they disobey the commandments of God and obey the traditions of the elders. I stand by my statement, there are no anesthetists in hell, they become believers real fast. And while thee, throughout eternity they will fall on their knees before the Lord and their mouths will confess that He is King of kings and Lord of lords forever, all to a Person whom they declare don’t exist.

    • Screaming “oh God” doesn’t mean anything. I have screamed it myself every time I orgasm. Doesn’t mean that I am praying to god or that I believe in him/her/it. Atheists have come back from war to testify that they still do not believe in a god and they didn’t all of a sudden change their minds in a fox hole.

Note that after the Revolutionary War, when the men who gathered for the Constitutional Convention banned religious tests for officeholders, in Article VI. There would be no government church, no state religion, and, except for being signed in the Year of our Lord 1787, no mention of God in America’s founding text. Religious freedom was formally established in the Constitution’s First Amendment.

    • Kaci – Yes, it does mean something, but it is lost on you. And most of our founding fathers were Christians who came here to be able to worship God as they chose. They gave us the right to do the same. They gave us the freedom to worship Him when and where we want. But atheists would have it that God never be mentioned anywhere and the Bible be banned. But God wins and they lose.

      • If you read your history, you would find that most of our Founding Fathers were not Christians.

Atheists don’t want to ban the bible. But we do want to either have all religions to be represented on government property or none at all. We are not a one religion nation and we should act as if we are.

          • What makes you think that Thomas Jefferson’s act of allowing others to follow their faith has anything to do with his own faith?

While Jefferson was a firm theist, the God in which he believed was not the traditional Christian divinity. Jefferson rejected the notion of the Trinity and Jesus’ divinity. He rejected Biblical miracles, the resurrection, the atonement, and original sin (believing that God could not fault or condemn all humanity for the sins of others, a gross injustice). In neither the eighteenth century nor today would most people consider a person with those views a “Christian.”

        • Be very thankful that our country was founded by Christians and not Muslims. There is no freedom in Islam. You would be facing Mecca five times a day to pray and be treated like an animal. Women have no rights in Islam

          • You should research this yourself instead of relying on others to give you false information.

Are you aware that the first religion ever to give females equal rights in the Quran?

Here is some reading material that you can research yourself. It gives verses from the Bible, the Quran, and the Torah.
            http://www.iupui.edu/~msaiupui/shatter.html

        • Why do you want all religions represented? You have no belief at all in any religion, unless you are calling atheism a religion. And atheists want any trace of Christianity banned. That has been proven time and again.

          • You misunderstand wanting the government to be fair to all religions and non-religions with wanting to ban Christianity. If you have a Christian monument/statue/etc on government property, then you must also have other religions as well. No one is trying to take your religion away from you.

Dude, Christians have churches on almost every freaking corner of the United States, over 2,400 Christian radio stations and over 100 full-power Christian TV stations, and Christian schools throughout the entire United States. Stop acting like the martyr here.

          • Your thought for the day, Chaplain Jim: If evolution is just a theory then religion is just an opinion.

          • Your scripture today Kaci: John 1:1-5 “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.  The same was in the beginning with God.  All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.  In him was life; and the life was the light of men.  And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.”
Thank God, I understand His Light, His Truth, His Sacrifice, thank God I am free from all guilt and sin because of Calvary’s Cross.

          • Your thought for the day: “Religions are the training wheels of self enlightenment. They can be helpful in the beginning but at some point they must be let go.”

            – Reggie Watts

      • Kaci – I HAVE read history and you are WRONG!!!!! Try reading REAL history, not the liberal indoctrination in public schools. They were CHRISTIANS. That is a FACT. You have no idea of our history. sad. Our founding fathers attended church services in the Capitol Building, required Bibles in schools and installed Chaplains in the military. And they left us our God-given freedom.

Benjamin Franklin and Thomas Jefferson in August 1776: “Rebellion to Tyrants is Obedience to God.”
        John Adams …
“Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other.”
“The Christian religion is, above all the religions that ever prevailed or existed in ancient or modern times, the religion of wisdom, virtue, equity, and humanity.”
The highest glory of the American Revolution was this: it connected in one indissoluble bond the principles of civil government with the principles of Christianity. John Quincy Adams
Noah Webster…The religion which has introduced civil liberty is the religion of Christ and His apostles, which enjoins humility, piety, and benevolence; which acknowledges in every person a brother, or a sister, and a citizen with equal rights. This is genuine Christianity, and to this we owe our free Constitutions of Government.
“We have this day restored the Sovereign to Whom all men ought to be obedient. He reigns in heaven and from the rising to the setting of the sun, let His kingdom come.” Samuel Adams, as the Declaration of Independence was being signed, 1776.
On his death bed, Patrick Henry said:
“Doctor, I wish you to observe how real and beneficial the religion of Christ is to a man about to die….I am, however, much consoled by reflecting that the religion of Christ has, from its first appearance in the world, been attacked in vain by all the wits, philosophers, and wise ones, aided by every power of man, and its triumphs have been complete.”

        • Someone is believing in the propaganda spread by Christians. Here is the real truth about our Founding Fathers:

Yes, our Founding Fathers attending church in the Capitol Building, but the churches back then were not like they were today. I think it’s important to note that especially during Jefferson’s time, this was largely driven by a scarcity of churches in the nation’s capital, which was still in the process of transforming from muddy fields into a city. These services served as social gatherings as well as religious meetings, to a degree that would seem odd to many practicing Christians in the US today. For example, a large part of this was bachelors going to church to meet eligible ladies (no singles bars back then), and it wasn’t uncommon for people to leave their seats and hold quiet conversations around the fireplaces in the middle of services.

While there were a number of signers to the Declaration of Independence that believed in making the Bible the premiere text for American schools, a larger number were against such an idea. After all, the teaching of the Bible in a school setting brought up a number of Church/State issues that have continued to our present day.

The foremost advocate against the use of the Bible – as many of you can easily imagine – was none other than the Declaration’s author, Thomas Jefferson. As we all know, Jefferson was a passionate proponent for religious freedom and the separation of church and state. In addition, Jefferson was also a devout supporter of educational reform. Jefferson believed that a secularized education, free from the shackles of religious piety would create a superior learning environment. It was largely due to this conviction that Jefferson established Mr. Jefferson’s University or the University of Virginia as it is known today.

For Jefferson, the instruction of biblical or Christian doctrine took a back seat to the more important lessons of ancient history and philosophy. As Jefferson stated:

“Instead therefore of putting the Bible and Testament into the hands of the children, at an age when their judgments are not sufficiently matured for religious inquiries, their memories may here be stored with the most useful facts from Grecian, Roman, European and American history.”

Founding Fathers: We Are Not a Christian Nation
The early presidents and patriots were generally Deists or Unitarians, believing in some form of impersonal Providence but rejecting the divinity of Jesus and the absurdities of the Old and New Testaments.

Thomas Paine, pamphleteer whose manifestoes encouraged the faltering spirits of the country and aided materially in winning the War of Independence: “I do not believe in the creed professed by the Jewish church, by the Roman church, by the Greek church, by the Turkish church, by the Protestant church, nor by any church that I know of . . . Each of those churches accuses the other of unbelief; and for my own part, I disbelieve them all.” [1]

George Washington, first president: He seems to have had the characteristic unconcern of the 18th century Deist for the forms and creeds of institutional religion. Although he often referred to Providence as an impersonal force, remote and abstract, he never declared himself to be a Christian according to contemporary reports or in any of his voluminous correspondence. Washington championed the cause of freedom from religious intolerance and compulsion. When John Murray (a Universalist who denied the existence of Hell) was invited to become an army chaplain, the other chaplains petitioned for his dismissal. Instead, Washington gave him the appointment. On his deathbed, Washington uttered no words of a religious nature and did not call for a clergyman to be in attendance. [2]

John Adams, second president: Drawn to the study of law but facing pressure from his father to become a clergyman, he wrote that he found among the lawyers “a noble air and gallant achievements” but among the clergy, the “pretended sanctity of some absolute dunces.” [3] Late in life, he wrote, “As I understand the Christian religion, it was, and is a revelation. But how has it happened that millions of fables, tales, legends have been blended with both Jewish and Christian revelation that have made them the most bloody religion that ever existed?” [4]

It was during Adams’ presidency that the Senate ratified the Treaty of Peace and Friendship, which states in Article XI that “the Government of the United States of America is not in any sense founded on the Christian religion.” This treaty with Tripoli was written and concluded by Joel Barlow during Washington’s administration. [2]

Thomas Jefferson, third president and author of the Declaration of Independence: “I trust that there is not a young man now living in the United States who will not die a Unitarian.” [5] He referred to the Revelation of St. John as “the ravings of a maniac” [6] and wrote, “The Christian priesthood, finding the doctrines of Christ levelled to every understanding and too plain to need explanation, saw, in the mysticisms of Plato, materials with which they might build up an artificial system which might, from its indistinctness, admit everlasting controversy, give employment for their order, and introduce it to profit, power and preeminence. The doctrines which flowed from the lips of Jesus himself are within the comprehension of a child, but thousands of volumes have not yet explained the Platonisms engrafted on them: and for this obvious reason that nonsense can never be explained.” [7]

James Madison, fourth president and Father of the Constitution: Madison was not religious in any conventional sense. “Religious bondage shackles and debilitates the mind and unfits it for every noble enterprise.” [8] “During almost fifteen centuries has the legal establishment of Christianity been on trial. What have been its fruits? More or less in all places, pride and indolence in the Clergy, ignorance, and servility in the laity; in both, superstition, bigotry and persecution.” [9]

Ethan Allen, whose capture of Fort Ticonderoga while commanding the Green Mountain boys helped inspire Congress and the country to pursue the War of Independence: “That Jesus Christ was not God is evident from his own words.” In the same book, Allen noted that he was generally “denominated a Deist, the reality of which I never disputed, being conscious I am no Christian.” [10] When Allen married Fanny Buchanan, he stopped his own wedding ceremony when the Judge asked him if he promised: “to live with Fanny Buchanan agreeable to the laws of God.” Allen refused to answer until the Judge agreed that the God referred to was the God of Nature, and the laws those “written in the great book of Nature.” [11]

Benjamin Franklin, delegate to the Continental Congress and the Constitutional Convention: “As to Jesus of Nazareth, my Opinion of whom you particularly desire, I think the System of Morals and his Religion . . . has received various corrupting Changes, and I have, with most of the present Dissenters in England, some Doubts as to his Divinity; tho’ it is a question I do not dogmatize upon, having never studied it, and think it needless to busy myself with it now, when I expect soon an Opportunity of knowing the Truth with less Trouble.” [12] He died a month later, and historians consider him, like so many great Americans of his time, as a Deist, not a Christian.

  25. There is a difference Kaci in your quest of pleasure and facing death. I will be praying for you as I feel in my heart you need it. In the OT, many would harden their hearts and stiffen their necks against God and I pray that you are not there. Lest I forget, I believe it was Voltaire who had his grave tombstone pre-made that was a statue of him with one hand in the air in the form of a fist, shaking it before Almighty God and a stone Bible beneath one of his feet as making mockery to God. Believe he is in hell like the rich man who lifted up his eyes in hell being in torments (plural). And no this is not a parable because God used names, Abraham, Lazarus, He mentions places, a gulf between the two. What’s the matter Kaci, are you afraid to call Him God, but call Him god (like a little god). What an insult you are to the One who created you.

  26. Sorry Kaci, I do not adhere to Humanistic Doctrine as this soldier did in VN. If he made it from there he should be thankful but guess he is/was not. I was not a Chaplain in my military career, I became a Chaplain after I got out and am so glad I did because people really need the Lord other than Wednesday nights and Sunday mornings. You can give me all your websites on Foxholes or whatever, and I can come back to give you the opposite. I personally know what God (yes, big G) has done in my life, He changed it 47 years ago and has made me a better person because of my New Birth (ye must be born again). Believe me, He has brought me through trials worse than Viet Nam. I have learned that whatever valley I am in, it’s there that I meet the Lily of the Valley, the Bright and Morning Star, the Rose of Sharon and I always remember (and so should you) that it takes 2 or more hills to make a valley. I choose to look unto the hills from whence cometh my help, I don’t lean on the arm of flesh Kaci, but I am “sheltered in the Arms of God”.

  27. The Lord speaks to me in the early hours of the morning Kaci and here is what I am going to do, Lord willing. Your scripture for this day is this, Psalm (Song) 118:24  This is the day which the LORD hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.

Enjoy your day, don’t be sad, mad, or bad, but be glad everyone.

    • Chaplain Jim…That was the scripture the other day before breakfast at the retirement home where I work. There was one table where some of the ladies sat and they were laughing a lot about something. One of the guys at another table remarked that there was a lot of rejoicing and gladness going on over there. I thought, yes, and it was so good to hear it.

      • I know you love you job there at the retirement home bj, I love going there to sing and play music for the elderly folks. Always tell them, you think I come here to bless you but I really come here so you can bless me and that they do. God bless you in the work you do there. You have the eyes of God on you.

  28. One day Kaci, I would love to share with you the true story of a lady I met in the hospital after having open heart robotic surgery who had 3 “I’s”. I tell it in churches and the congregation thinks I am going to tell them about a woman I met in the hospital who has 3 eyes and they look at me like a calf looking at a new gate. I will never forget how this woman helped me in my time of need. God always has a ram in the bush.

  29. Let’s not forget the real issue with “freedom of Choice”. The choice was to have sexual intercourse or not. Once we make the choice to have sex, we then have the responsibility to deal with the consequences of pregnancy and becoming a parent. The alternative to becoming a parent is adoption. Many couples would love to adopt an unwanted baby. Grow up America!! Become responsible for your own action!! We need a “Statue of Responsibility” on the west coast as we have a “Statue of Liberty on the east coast”.

    • I would like to tweak that comment just a tad.

Men cannot ever determine what women can or cannot do with their own body.
