President Donald Trump has proven he is willing to stand up for Christians across America.
He doesn’t care who he makes angry in doing that.
And he proved that when his response to coronavirus infuriated millions of atheists for the best reason ever.
With the spread of coronavirus, America is on edge as the Trump Administration leads the effort to stop the spread of the Chinese virus.
In a change of pace, President Trump announced that he would be launching a day of prayer, which occurred on March 15th, to look to God at this time.
“It is my great honor to declare Sunday, March 15th as a National Day of Prayer. We are a Country that, throughout our history, has looked to God for protection and strength in times like these,” the president tweeted. “No matter where you may be, I encourage you to turn towards prayer in an act of faith. Together, we will easily PREVAIL!”
In response, the Left lost their minds, with one liberal declaring, “MORE TESTS, LESS PRAYERS” in response.
An atheist responded by downplaying his call, referring to God as the “imaginary man in the sky.”
Another liberal seemingly praised Satan in his response.
But none of this deterred Trump.
Trump launched a beautiful day of prayer, where he announced he would be watching an online church service, along with posting a number of words of prayer.
President Trump quoted the “holy words” of 1 Peter 5:7, writing: “Casting all your care upon him, for he careth for you.”
He went on to pray: “Let us pray that all those affected by the virus will feel the presence of our Lord’s protection and love during this time. With God’s help, we will overcome this threat,” Trump was certain.
Trump also put in a word of prayer for “those on the front lines of the response [of Coronavirus], especially our Nation’s outstanding medical professionals and public health officials who are working tirelessly to protect all of us from the coronavirus and treat patients who are infected; all of our courageous first responders, National Guard, and dedicated individuals who are working to ensure the health and safety of our communities; and our Federal, State, and local leaders.”
He finished off his statement by stating that “we will rise to this challenge and emerge stronger and more united than ever before.”
Needless to say, the Left was infuriated by his response, but Christians everywhere couldn’t be happier.
Do you think Trump did the right thing with his National Day of Prayer?
