From being a faith leader to playing professional sports, Tim Tebow has a lot under his belt.
And even with so many accomplishments, Tim Tebow always seems to stay clear from political fights.
But Tim Tebow and Attorney General William Bar just teamed up and you wont believe why.
Tim Tebow is one of the most influential people amongst evangelicals.
After being criticized for praying before each game as a college athlete, he became a crusader for Christians who perceive themselves as under attack by today’s society.
And through the years he has given back from his successes to many charities and worthy causes.
But despite his celebrity status and involvement in charity, he seems to always avoid politics and politicians.
Now that’s changed as Tim Tebow and Attorney General William Barr teamed up to fight for a worthy cause.
This past Monday, Barr hosted a discussion on human trafficking in Atlanta and Tim Tebow was one of the special guests in attendance.
Tim Tebow, accompanied by his wife and former Miss Universe Demi-Leigh, said that the issue of human trafficking became a personal issue for him after his father saw human trafficking first-hand overseas while on a mission trip.
Tebow told attendees:
You know, the reason why we got into this was because eight years ago my dad was preaching in a remote country and there were four girls that he was next to that were being sold. And he took out all the money out of his wallet which was $1,250 and he bought those four girls. And then he called me and said, ‘I just bought four girls and not really sure what to do now.’ and I said, ‘that’s ok dad. we’ve got your back.
At the discussion, Attorney General William Barr proudly announced $100,000,000 in grants that were to help local communities fight human trafficking across the nation.
With everything going on in our nation, Tim Tebow has been a sign of hope for many and has inspired countless people.
Hopefully more people can be like Tim Tebow trying to help their fellow man rather than the rioters seen trashing America’s city streets.
