This top Democrat Congressman made one statement that had Christians rolling their eyes

Christianity has been under assault from progressivism for decades.

Leftists have warped Biblical teachings to advocate for abortion and socialism.

Now a top Democrat Congressman made one statement that had Christians rolling their eyes.

Democrat Congressman Emanuel Cleaver of Missouri gave the opening prayer for the 117th Congress, and closed his prayer with an absurd statement.

Cleaver said:

“And dare I ask, oh Lord, peace even in this chamber now and evermore. We ask it in the name of the monotheistic god, Brahma, and god known by many names by many different faiths. Amen and awoman.”

This is beyond absurd, but speaks to the Left’s obsession with making everything gender neutral.

“Amen” is not a gendered word at all, but that doesn’t matter to progressives.

It’s why they alter words like “history” to “herstory” or spell “women” as “womxn” or spell “latino” as “latinx.”

Radical gender theory has made its way to the United States Congress as evidenced by Cleaver’s nonsensical “awoman” coda.

He brushed off criticism by saying his “lighthearted pun” was a way to acknowledge “the record number of women who will be representing the American people in Congress during this term as well as in recognition of the first female chaplain of the House of Representatives, whose service commenced this week.”

But recognition can be achieved without fabricated words like “awoman.”

It might seem like a trivial thing, but it’s not.

The Left moves culture – which ultimately affects politics – with these casual perversions that happen 1,000 times a day.

Soon it becomes a cultural norm and anyone who stands up against it is considered a bigot of some sort.

Progressives have been attacking language for decades; it’s how abortion gets described as “reproductive rights” and being for it makes one “pro-choice.”

The use of “awoman” comes just as the Democrats pushed to remove gendered language from Congress altogether.

People need to stand up to the radicalism of the Left so these cultural perversions don’t continue to become commonplace.
