Alyssa Milano has declared herself the leader of Hollywood’s political activism, and Americans are getting tired of it.
And now there is even data to prove it.
This new poll is Hollywood’s worst nightmare and could be the end of Alyssa Milano’s career.
Milano has been leading Hollywood celebrities to fight Georgia’s and Alabama’s pro-life laws.
But political activism from Hollywood celebrities is nothing new.
Every election cycle, a myriad of celebrities will endorse Leftist candidates running for office and trash Republicans.
Democrats love the media attention they receive from a celebrity endorsement and the campaign contributions that follow.
But all of that may start changing.
A new poll has been released showing 65% of voters report not being swayed by celebrity endorsements.
A sizeable majority of voters do not care whether celebrities have endorsed a particular political candidate or party, a new survey has found.
A Hill-HarrisX poll released on Friday found that 65 percent of respondents said that political endorsements from celebrities had no impact on their own voting intention.
Another 24 percent of voters said that endorsements from Hollywood stars actually made them less likely to vote for a political candidate, while just 11 percent said it would make them more likely.
Meanwhile, Republicans were far more likely to be opposed to celebrity endorsements than Democrats, with 38 percent of registered GOP voters claiming that celebrity endorsements hurt their chances of voting for a candidate, compared to just 14 percent of Democrats who felt the same.
For all the attention the mainstream media gives these endorsements, it appears to do little to nothing to move the needle in an election.
In fact, it may even turn off some swing voters.
In 2016, Hillary Clinton employed a small army of celebrities to try to defeat Donald Trump – without success.
Americans do not want to be told how to vote from actors and actresses that they see in movies.
If anything, it may come off as condescending, given how out-of-touch these celebrities are with real Americans.
What do you think?
Do celebrity endorsements impact how you vote or view political issues?
