The Pope’s desire to be “woke” has some questioning if he’s really Catholic

Pope Francis has definitely been raising some eyebrows lately.

He’s endorsed the idea of man-made climate change and repeatedly bashed free market economics even though it’s responsible for lifting millions out of poverty worldwide and its roots can be traced back to the Catholic Church.

And now, the Pope’s desire to be “woke” has some questioning if he’s really Catholic.

According to a recent Reuters story, Pope Francis is due to hold an inter-religious prayer service at the ancient Mesopotamian site of Ur.

“Pope Francis is due to hold an inter-religious prayer service at the ancient Mesopotamian site of Ur when he visits Iraq next week – an event local archeologists hope will draw renewed attention to the place revered as the birthplace of Abraham,” said Reuters.

The leader of the Roman Catholic church is going to lead prayer at a straight-up ancient pagan temple.

Not a maybe-pagan temple or a sorta-pagan temple, an actual pagan temple.

If you have read the Bible or studied it in any way, you will know that Ur has very little to do with Abraham and that God actually called him out of that city.

But it’s all about PR, isn’t it?

The Reuters article went on to say, “The inter-religious prayer service will be attended by Christians, Muslims, Mandaean-Sabaean, Yazidi and other religious minorities present in Iraq. The focus will be on harmony between religious groups in a service the Vatican has named ‘Prayer for the sons and daughters of Abraham.’”

So, instead of preaching the Gospel and leading others to the freedom found in Christ, Pope Francis will preach harmony between the children of Abraham.

One of the most well-known figures in Christianity today is choosing not just to ignore the message of salvation through Jesus Christ but is, in essence, dismissing it entirely.

Why the Catholic church continues to follow this man is anyone’s guess, but actions like these should open his follower’s eyes to his true motives.

He is not leading the fallen to Christ; he is attempting to pass unbiblical truths off as acceptable.

In a world that preaches inclusivity and unity at all cost, one must be very careful where they are getting their information from these days.
