The Catholic League isn’t buying this jaw-dropping Joe Biden claim about his meeting with the Pope

Joe Biden recently met with Pope Francis and what was discussed seems to be up for debate.

Christians around the world were horrified that Pope Francis would even consider meeting with the rabidly pro-abortion Biden, but the pontiff assured everyone they were not discussing the matter of life.

And The Catholic League isn’t buying Biden’s account of his meeting with the Pope.

Joe Biden met with Pope Francis in the Vatican for approximately 75 minutes last Friday morning.

After the meeting Biden was asked by reporters if the issue of abortion had arisen during their discussion.

“No, it didn’t. It came up – we just talked about the fact that he was happy I was a good Catholic and I should keep receiving Communion,” Biden told reporters.

Bill Donohue of The Catholic League isn’t buying a word of what Biden says.

Donohue says he maintains a “healthy skepticism” about Biden’s claim that the Pope called him a “good Catholic” and encouraged him to “keep receiving Communion.”

Traditional Catholics worldwide have been appalled at Biden’s claims of being a devout Catholic and more disturbed by his continued participation in Communion given his pro-abort stance.

From what we “know about the Vatican’s handling of the meeting and Biden’s long record of lying about many important matters, we are maintaining a healthy skepticism about the president’s rendition,” Donohue stated.

Donohue stated boldly that “Biden is a pathological liar.”

The Catholic League president went on to lay out Biden’s long history of lying and his clear issues with the truth.

“In 1987, Slate recounted that Biden had not only plagiarized a speech by British Labor Party leader Neil Kinnock, but had appropriated personal biographical facts from Kinnock’s life,” Donohue wrote.

Biden has also been known to plagiarize speeches given by Robert Kennedy, John F. Kennedy and Hubert Humphrey.

It’s this history of lying and stretching the truth that has Donohue skeptical of what was really said in the meeting between the Pope and Joe Biden.

The Vatican has declined to comment on Biden’s recount of the meeting.

The official word from Matteo Bruni, director of the Holy See press office was, “I would consider it a private conversation, and it is limited to what was said in the public statement.”

Given Biden’s long history of manipulating the truth and flat-out lying to the American people, Donohue should be skeptical.
