Texans better watch out for Matthew McConaughey becoming their next Governor

Matthew McConaughey has been spit-balling the idea of running for public office in the past.

But his ambitions just took a huge leap and now political pundits are starting to take the famous actor seriously.

And Texans better watch out for Matthew McConaughey becoming their next Governor.

When celebrities run for political office, it can either be really good or really bad.

On one side you have former President Ronald Reagan who turned out to be a great President and leader for our nation.

And on the other side of the spectrum you have Arnold Schwarzenegger who sucked at both being a politician and an actor.

So many are wondering how Matthew McConaughey would be as a politician.

McConaughey has been floating the idea of running for office for a while now.

In the latest episode of his podcast, Set‌ ‌it‌ ‌Straight:‌ ‌Myths‌ ‌and‌ ‌Legends, the Dallas Buyers Club, he gave the strongest signal yet that he is running for some type of political office in Texas.

After being encouraged to run for office in Texas by a guest on his podcast, McConaughey responded, “Well, thank you, man. I’m measuring it. Look, it’s going to be in some capacity. […] I just — I’m more of a folksy and philosopher poet statesman than I am a, per se, definitive politician.”

If you don’t think he is being serious about his future run for office, watch this video he tweeted out trying to raise money for victims of the winter storms that hit Texas earlier this year.

That video with the American Flag in the background just bleeds of political intentions.

Only time will tell if he does run.

But one thing is for certain.

Whenever he runs for office in Texas he will ultimately be a leftist disguised as a centrist trying to turn Texas blue.
