Ted Cruz agrees to debate Alyssa Milano on gun rights after he humiliated her with this epic takedown

Alyssa Milano picked a fight with Senator Ted Cruz on social media over his support for the Second Amendment.

The leftist actress slammed Cruz for supporting gun rights.

But Cruz responded in a way she never saw coming and destroyed her on social media with this epic takedown.

Actress-turned-activist Alyssa Milano blasted Ted Cruz on Twitter for supporting the Second Amendment and challenged him to a debate.

But she didn’t expect Senator Cruz to answer her ridiculous arguments with scripture, the Constitution, and real-life examples of people defending themselves with firearms.

Now, Ted Cruz has accepted her debate challenge and they are scheduling a time to convene.

Since Cruz destroyed her on social media, she’s stopped tweeting at him so she doesn’t keep embarrassing herself.

Breitbart reports:

Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) accepted a challenge from actress Alyssa Milano to debate gun rights and the Constitution following the left-wing activist’s request to expose his “bullshit” to the American people.

“I’d be happy to sit down & visit next week about uniting to stop gun violence & about the Constitution. If we can have a civil & positive conversation—in the spirit of 1 Peter 4:8 as you suggest—despite our political differences, that might help resolve the discord in our Nation,” Cruz said Monday evening responding to Alyssa Milano.

Cruz’s acceptance follows a tense exchange between the Texas senator and the left-wing actress, who prompted the conversation after snarkily asking Christians to “cite which passage of the Bible God states it is a god-given right to own a gun.”

A debate over the Second Amendment between Alyssa Milano and Ted Cruz would almost certainly be embarrassing for the washed-up actress.

Ted Cruz clerked for Chief Justice William H. Rehnquist and is well versed in both the Constitution and the law.

Not only that, he proved to everyone in 2016 & 2018 that he is a formidable debater who can take down liberals such as Robert Francis “Beto” O’Rourke.

On the other hand, Milano could play dirty and trap Ted Cruz into a fake debate.

The media will no doubt look for any single moment in the debate where Milano appears to have the upper hand and run with that as their story.

Senator Ted Cruz is certainly an excellent debater but he could be headed for a trap.

What do you think? Will Ted Cruz wipe the floor with Alyssa Milano? Or is this a bad idea?

  2. Gun violence IS a sanctity-of-life issue!

A gun in one’s home is 22 times more likely to be used to kill or injure in a criminal assault or homicide, an attempted or completed suicide, or unintentional shooting than to kill or injure in self-defense. (Kellermann, et al, 1998 Journal of Trauma, 42:263-67)

In the U.S., 8 children and teenagers are killed, and more than 47 are injured, by a firearm every day. (CDC, NCHS, December 2006)

The risk of homicide in the home is three times greater in households with guns. (Kellermann, et al, New England Journal of Medicine, 1993)

The risk of suicide is five times greater in households with guns. (Kellermann et al, New England Journal of Medicine, 1992)

A 1990 law banning the sale of “Saturday Night Special” handguns in Maryland was associated with reduced use of these guns by criminals, and a 9% lower rate of firearm homicides in the state between 1990-1998 than would have been expected had there been no law.

Policies that deny handgun purchases to individuals with prior misdemeanor or felony convictions are associated with a decreased risk of subsequent convictions. Misdemeanants who had allowed to purchase handguns prior to the passage of a California state law prohibiting such purchases had a rate of criminal offending 29% higher than that among misdemeanants who were denied handgun purchases after the law took effect.

Every day in the U.S., 8 children and teenagers are killed and more than 47 are injured by a firearm.

In 2005, 595 California children and youth under age 21 were killed with firearms and 1,554 California children and youth under 21 were hospitalized with nonfatal firerarms injuries.

One-third of U.S. children live in homes with firearms. Almost half of homes with children and firearms keep a gun unlocked.

68% of the attackers in school shootings obtained the gun(s) from their own home or that of a relative. 61% of the attackers used handguns.

Many young children, including children as young as three years old, are strong enough to fire a handgun.

In 2004, guns were used to kill:

    5 people in New Zealand
    37 in Sweden
    56 in Australia
    73 in England and Wales
    184 in Canada

and 11,344 in the United States. God bless America.

Gun control advocate Junling Hu writes:

“A gun is a consumer product, sold for cash and purchased by individuals. While all other consumer products including teddy bears are subject to strict federal laws, guns are given a free pass. There are no safety regulation on guns thanks to the NRA’s lobbying efforts. Unsafe guns lead to accidents and death of adults and children at home. The ones who suffer are the gun owners.

“A gun is also a lethal weapon. Falling into the wrong hand, it enables a criminal to kill, a gang member to fight, and a teenager to seek revenge. Guns are deadlier than tobacco, alcohol or gambling combined. While all of these are off limits to youngsters, and although a 20-year-old can be arrested for drinking a beer, he can go scot-free for buying a gun.

“The debate over gun laws is muffled by the slogan, ‘We need less government regulation.’ It is as if government regulation is always wrong. These people ignore the fact that the government regulates every aspect of our life today. From water to air, to drugs and toys, everything touching us is regulated by law. Without the Clean Air Act, we would be breathing dirty air emissions from power plants; we would be drinking unsafe water. Without government regulation, medicines with fatal side effects would not be pulled off shelves and toys with lead poison would still be on the market. Government regulation affects our housing safety, our food quality, our driving safety (through speed limits and safety belt laws). As we live in a civilized society, the government serves as a mediator and enforcer as no individual can do.

“The freedom of owning a gun has virtually nothing to do with abiding gun laws. Anyone can own an automobile, but they still need to register and get licenses for their cars. Everyone has the freedom of owning a house, but they still have to watch for zoning regulation and fire safety requirements.

“Sensible gun laws govern manufacturing standard, product safety, and accessible by minors and criminals. Sensible gun laws govern the safety of our street, our school, and most importantly, the safety of our home.

“Common sense gun laws such as closing gun show loophole, assault weapon ban, and child-lock are fundamentally needed to be sure guns do not fall into wrong hands. Yet all these basic laws are fought against by the NRA lobby. How far can we go in this extremist view of so-called ‘individual freedom’? The consequence of suffering is demonstrated by deadly shooting every day, in every corner of America. Each day, over 80 people die from gun shooting, from accidents at home, to disputes with one’s neighbor, to random shootings on the street. The deadly consequence of ‘gun freedom’ are the death of a young four-year-old–shot while playing with guns, a 15-year-old while in heat of argument, and a 19-year-old walking out of a nightclub.

“America does not have to be a society soaked in blood, because the bloody consequences were caused by a powerful gun lobby that stripped away our basic protection from the law. Let’s work to enact sensible gun laws. We ask for sensible regulation on guns, as we ask for regulation on food and drugs. The gun issue is no longer a private matter but a public safety issue. It affects all of us. Let’s pass sensible gun laws now.”

The logic of gun control can best be understood by considering the analogy of the automobile. A car is a potentially lethal weapon. To drive a car, one must be trained, licensed, and have that license periodically renewed. And a car is designed solely as a means of transportation. Guns, on the other hand, are deliberately designed to kill people. It is not unreasonable to demand their regulation.

Guns are the second deadliest consumer product (after cars) on the market. By the end of the 1990s, firearms will likely supplant automobiles as the leading cause of product-related deaths throughout the United States. In 1990, American guns claimed an estimated 37,000 lives. There are no federal safety standards for the domestic manufacture of guns. There are no voluntary, industry-wide safety standards for the manufacture of guns.

Every two minutes, somebody somewhere in the United States is shot. Every 14 minutes, somebody dies from a gunshot wound. Each gun injury involving hospitalization costs $33,159. A license to sell a gun costs 83 cents per month.

A gun rolls off the assembly line in America every 10 seconds. America imports another gun every 11 seconds. There are 246,984 gun dealers in the United States, but only 240 inspectors to keep an eye on them.

There is a popular myth that handgun ownership makes people safer. In reality, the New England Journal of Medicine reports that a handgun in the home is 43 times more likely to kill the owner, a family member, or a friend than it is to kill an intruder. Over 75 percent of firearm deaths in a typical year involve handguns. The FBI Uniform Crime Statistics Report says that nationally, there were 38,317 firearm deaths in 1992, but fewer than 300 justifiable homicides.

Another myth is that gun control laws don t make a difference. In reality, strict handgun regulation saves lives. In Washington, DC, a tougher gun law actually reduced homicides by 25 percent through the mid-1980s. Again, the New England Journal of Medicine reports that 47 lives were saved in Washington, DC, in a typical year studied, because of that city’s handgun ban.

Most other industrialized nations have virtual bans on handgun sales. In 1990, handguns were used in the homicides of 13 people in Sweden, 91 in Switzerland, 87 in Japan, 22 in Great Britain, and 68 in Canada, compared to 10,567 in the United States.

Is gun control constitutional? The Second Amendment refers to “the right of the people to keep and bear arms.” Roger Tatarian, professor emeritus of journalism at California State University, Fresno, notes, however, that “things can change over time” with regards to the original intent of the founders.

The Third Amendment, for example, protects citizens against compulsory quartering of troops in private homes. Technology has also made obsolete the constitutional provision giving Congress the right to declare war. “No president who is warned that a hostile missile is en route…has time nowadays to ask Congress for a declaration of war before responding,” states Tartarian. “He can commit the country to an all-out war simply by pressing a button.”

Tartarian observes: “The Constitution certainly does not ban private ownership of weapons; that would have been unthinkable for a people still living in an often hostile natural environment and where many depended on hunting for a livelihood. But a tradition of owning arms is one thing and a constitutional guarantee is quite another. They ought not be confused

According to Tatarian: “The Second Amendment as it now exists evolved from a draft offered by James Madison on June 8, 1789. His intent very clearly was to tie the constitutional right to own arms to service in official militias regulated by state governments.” Madison’s original proposal reads:

“The right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed; a well armed and well regulated militia being the best security of a free country: but no person religiously scrupulous of bearing arms shall be compelled to render military service in person.”

The final version of the amendment which emerged from a House-Senate conference on September 25, 1789, also tied the constitutional right to bear arms to service in a militia, and stated that such militias are to be “well regulated”:

“A well regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed.”

Handgun control is constitutional. The courts have repeatedly ruled that the Second Amendment does not apply to individuals outside the context of “a well regulated militia.” A handgun control ordinance was upheld by the U.S. Seventh Court of Appeals in 1982, which issued the following statement: “We conclude that the right to keep and bear handguns is not guaranteed by the Second Amendment.”

The Supreme Court let the decision stand by refusing to hear the appeal of the handgun lobby. The Supreme Court ruled in United States v. Cruikshank that the Second Amendment doesn’t mean anything except “(the right to keep and bear arms) shall not be infringed by Congress.”

This 1876 ruling established that states and localities are not prevented from enacting their own gun control laws–and they remain free to do so to this day. In 1980, the Supreme Court reconfirmed that “these legislative restrictions on the use of firearms do not trench upon any constitutionally protected liberties.”

Guns should be regulated like other consumer products. Handguns and assault rifles should be banned, and ammunition should be taxed heavily.

If we Democrats prove to the American people *we’re* a “big tent” too, we can easily win, even in red states.

Fifty-nine percent of Democrats favored a ban on partial-birth abortion. (Gallup Poll, November 1, 2000)

Eighty-nine percent of Americans favored informed consent for women seeking abortions. (Gallup Poll, 2002)

Sixty-seven percent of Democrats would outlaw some or all abortions. (Gallup Poll, May 5-7, 2003)

Forty-three percent of Democrats agreed with the statement that abortion “destroys a human life and is manslaughter.” (Zogby Poll, December 2004)

Seventy percent of high school senior females say they would not consider abortion if they became pregnant while in high school. (Hamilton College/Zogby Poll, January 2008)

Seventy-seven percent of Americans believe abortion should have stricter limitations. (CBS News Poll, January 2008)

Twenty-nine percent of Democratic Convention delegates disagreed with the statement, “Abortion should be generally available to those who want it rather than under stricter limits or not permitted.” However, 52 percent of Democratic voters as a whole disagreed. This large discrepancy between party leadership and membership indicates a serious problem that Democrats For Life of America wants to rectify.

During the 2008 campaign, Reverend Jim Wallis (of Sojourners) advised Barack Obama to support a plank in the Democratic Party Platform that would aim to reduce abortions by focusing on supporting low income women and making adoption easier. (This is the 95-10 Initiative, advanced by pro-life Democrats in Congress.) Reverend Tony Campolo served on the Platform Committee and has issued a strong statement in support of a pro-life position.

A “conscience clause” which appeared in the 2000 Democratic Platform (but not in 2004) acknowledges that there are pro-life people in our Party and we respect their views. It reads as follows:

“We respect the conscience of each American and recognize that members of our Party have deeply held and sometimes differing positions on issues of personal conscience, like abortion and the death penalty. We recognize the diversity of views as a source of strength and we welcome into our ranks all Americans who may hold differing positions on these and other issues.”

In 2014, Kristen Day of Democrats For Life said: “Roughly a third of the Democratic Party is pro-life. And while many do not call themselves liberal, they share the values which seem to identify with liberalism, particularly a commitment to helping the vulnerable and providing a social safety net.”

The Democratic Party platform should support: Animal Rights, Defending the Affordable Care Act, Ending Citizens United, Ending Marijuana Prohibition, Giving Greater Visibility to Pro-Life Democrats, Gun Control, Net Neutrality, Raising the Minimum Wage to $15 an Hour, Responding to the Scientific Consensus on Global Warming, and a Sustainable Energy Policy.

  3. Ted, I hope you take her down GOOD. It’s about TIME to put these Leftist Liars out the door, especially with the gun debate argument. The 2nd Amendment tells it like it is . . . Team Trump and his allies 2020.

  4. This actress is so misinformed that she’s looking dumber by the day, Ted Cruz will cut her down to size no matter what she’s fighting for. We have a right to own guns, it’s our freedom and we should be able to protect out selves and our loved ones. She needs to keep her opinions to her self if she does not support our right in our Country. Leave if she’s not happy with our laws. I agree she’s all washed up as an actress and as a human being.

  5. When a criminal, any criminal is put to death within 30 days of judgement for rape, murder, assault or any crime committed with a weapon, I’ll rest at ease and tell my daughter not to carry, if she wishes.
    Thank you.

  6. Vas’s Murti?

A rambling, bungling diatribe of lies, falsehoods and blatant inaccurate statements. It’s individuals like you we want out of any part of the government. You don’t speak for the majority or any patriots whatsoever.

  7. Alyssa?

Your brand of uneducated and stupid is unfixable. You’re a lost cause.

I’d keep your mouth shut most of the time as you’ll be dealing with the “Michael Jordan” of attorneys who’ve argued before the Supreme Court.

    Enjoy the beating!!! #Metoo?

  8. Democrats for Life of America???

Then why do Democrats support the murder of unborn babies and even support partial birth abortion?

  9. GO TED CRUZ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! MY GUN NEVER KILLED ANYBODY!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I BLASTED A FEW CANS and BOTTLES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I DON’T MISS!!!!!!!!!!! VASU PLEASE MOVE TO IRAQ, VENEZUELA, CHINA, RUSSIA and SHUT UP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! BIG DUMMY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  10. Ted is an intellectual giant and Alyssa is a mental midget………………..not going to be much of a “debate”

  11. Milano is a whore and showed it all on film. Who can take this slut serious and who GAS what she says about our 2A? F her and the lefties. You’re never taking our guns.

  12. I really didn’t think this fool got get any dumber then she’s already displayed . But I guess I was wrong. And this is the same person that bragged about having two abortions in one year. I don’t mean to be crude, but this only goes to prove, she can’t keep her legs or her big mouth closed !!She’s a real disgrace!!!

  13. Bla, Bla, Bla, Bla, Bla, Bla Copy/Paste Bla, Bla, Bla, Bla, Veganism Bla, Bla, Bla, Bla, Hate Chrisians, Bla, Bla, Bla, Bla, Dem indoctranation Bla, Bla, Bla, DNC talking points Bla, Bla, Bla Abortion Bla, Bla, Bla…..
Vasu, dear, get some new material it’s getting really boring!

  14. So, Will, it be Televised? 🙂

Got the popcorn ready and can’t wait to see Ted school the little Boss on how very ignorant she is.
Of course, I am sure as we speak she is memorizing her Soros/DNC script and being coached on how to avoid the “facts” in favor of “their Truths!”

  15. Vasu, in my home, which is representative of many, the guns my husband owned and still does have never ever caused any kind of problem. Our children were raised, firmly, with the precept that they would never enter our bedroom – where the guns, one of which was a LEO gun, so without a safety – were kept. Our children were raised to respect the power of guns, the ability of them to kill when used, and that they were never ever to use one until they had gun education. Neither of them ever trespassed into our bedroom (without consequences they regretted) and our guns made our little portion of the world safer. One now has a firearm of his own, educated by NRA sponsored government “fire alley”. The other has chosen not to have one.
Whatever the stats you chose to use, our household never reflected anything but safety. We were parents first and foremost and our children were raised to be law-abiding citizens, whom I am incredibly proud of.

  16. My first experience with a gun with my first husband, I shot an old rust tin can dead center. He missed. My second shot was just above the first, he hit a glancing ricochet. He never took me shooting again. Was it just chance? I don’t know. I’ve never had the chance to prove otherwise, but I know guns and have confidence that I can handle one if needed.

  17. Milissa is just another has been actress trying to gain some notoriety. Like bob denario and Alec Baldwin. I think if I was ted i wouldn’t waste the time.

  18. There isn’t much in this article above that is accurate, and since the story is several days old, it’s not like it is hard to get the facts right. A quick (and more accurate summary follows).
    1. Milano posted a tweet wanting to know where in the Bible it says you’ve got a right to a gun. This was in response to a social media post by a Texas state congressman’s post. (Not Ted Cruz)
    2. Cruz jumped in and respectfully educated Milano and those following on the biblical teaching for self-defense and the historical origins for the 2nd Amendment. It was a multi-part tweet and is well worth reading.
    3. Milano responded with name calling and a disrespectfully-worded challenge to debate Cruz via live-stream when she comes to D.C. next week. She also quoted from 1 Peter 4:8 apparently oblivious to the irony that in this exchange it was she who was violating this scriptural admonition.
    4. Senator Cruz agreed (again without the name calling and disrespect shown by Milano).

  19. Real-life scenario for gun control advocates:
Suppose you and your family live in a rural environment with the closest neighbor living half a mile, or more, away. Your house is not visible from the road and you are surrounded by woods. The wife and three daughters are inside when they notice an unknown vehicle pull up and four creepy looking men get out of the car, all brandishing weapons (your choice of what they have; shotgun, pistol, revolver, axe, etc). The Sheriff is understaffed and response time on a good day is 10-12 minutes. You don’t believe in owning firearms and therefore your choice of defense against robbery, rape and homicide is what? A bat? Chef knife? It will be all over before the Sheriff shows up. Horrific situation.
Same scenario and you now have guns but the daughters have not been trained, the wife is small and can’t handle a shotgun and her only choice is a revolver because its only 5-8 shots. ARs and semi-auto pistols have been banned. Doubtful the revolver is larger than a .38 as most women can’t handle larger ones. So now you have a chance to save your life and those of your daughters. A small chance, but still you have one. If you are well trained you’d be lucky to hit one assailant.
Same scenario but now you have an AR 5.56 with 30 rounds of 55 grain ammo and a spare magazine. You have a 750 lumen light and red dot on it and you have good training. You step onto your front porch, point the gun down and maybe pop off a few warning shots. You’ve just saved your life and those of your loved ones. Could you do that with a bolt action rifle? Nope. Bad guys DO NOT LIKE HARD TARGETS!
Now suppose your kids are outside playing and you see a few wolves getting near them. You know Fish and Wildlife has indicated there are problems with them and mountain lions in your area. Shotgun? Revolver? Lever action? The AR!
The AR 5.56 Nato is rated hands down the best home defense weapon against two and four legged predators (except bears). And while gun grabbers may say this is purely hypothetical I assure you it happens more often than you realize. Guns are our insurance policies for survival. We hope we don’t have to use them but when the situations arise our families are protected. If you don’t like them, don’t buy them. But please do not tell me that the protection of my family is not important.

  20. vasu where do you get off saying our food is regulated. Why is there food with GMO still being sold regulated, I don’t think so. Why don’t you check to see how many countries will not allow some of our food products to be sold in their countries, because they are not safe to eat. But their sold here for us to eat. Drugs from pharmaceuticals even unsafe for humans are still sold even if they do not work. But Dr’s still give out those prescriptions.

  21. I wouldn’t waste my time on that washed up “actress”. Everyone knows she is bat-sh*t crazy and a hypocrite.

  22. Undoubtedly you never paid attention in school. After the first paragraph, no one really reads or tries to comprehend any kind of ‘statistical data.’ Especially if it can be countered with accurate data….you know the kind….scientific, medical, judicial, military, etc, etc. The hard facts not feelings or opinions. Opinions and ‘ feelings ‘ are not facts or truths!

(ALERT: The oceans will rise due to snowflake meltdowns!)

  23. A “God given right” is one to protect yourself, your wife and children and all of your hard earned possessions from slovenly, lazy, DNC voting druggies. You, Ms. Milano, have armed, personal protection thugs to protect your aged azz!

Now, please, ease into your obscurity!

  24. Unfortunately you didn’t mention Democrats supporting open boarders which brings with it human trafficking, drug smuggling and crime which of course you did not cite any statistics. All in the name of votes not humanity. Also you don’t mention that most gun violence takes place in Democratic run cities and the victims are primarily minorities and their children since you cite all the kids being killed but not whether they are minorities which they probably are. You also don’t make any effort when citing your stats to distinguish which people are the ones exactly impacted. You don’t mention how many deaths we have from drugs smuggled into this Country across our Southern Border, the number of children and young people enslaved by human traffickers, nor the crime statistics of those who come across our boarders illegally and the impact of that on all sorts of murders, rapes and assaults. Typical leftist citing statistics that in and by themselves explain nothing.

  25. I am a huge Second Amendment advocate. I am now in my seventh decade and have used an “assault weapon” on three occasions to save my life. The first occasion was on a lonely stretch of super highway. It was about 3:00 A.M. and my vehicle was stopped by twenty to forty outlaw bikers who wanted beer money. If you didn’t have enough to get them ALL passed out drunk, they would beat the hell out of you. It had happened several times before according to victim testimony. There had also been “mysterious” deaths in the same general area. So, I came prepared. When the outlaw bikers stopped me I stuck my “assault weapon” out the car window with that LOOONG thirty round clip light up by THEIR HEADLIGHTS. They immediately decided they wanted to be somewhere else and they took off in the opposite direction. I never fired a shot or even said a word.
The second occasion was another in wee hours of the morning occasion. I was awakened by an altercation in my driveway. Several men, obviously drunk, were fighting. I got out of bead and grabbed my long coat and my “assault weapon” and down the way I went. By dawn’s early light I could see a pile of booty – my property – that they had lifted from out buildings on the farm. More “beer money” no doubt. The fight was over which of them was to be “new owners” of MY property. So I ordered them to “Reach for the sky!” They RAN instead. Again, NO SHOTS FIRED.
The third occasion was in broad daylight. Three men in a full size Ford truck tried to force my sports car off the road on a different, but equally lonely section of super highway. I hit the gas and roared a bit further down the road. Where I stopped and reached for my “assault weapon” and displayed that LOOONG thirty round magazine for all to see. About a minute later the three thugs in the big Ford truck made their appearance and a much FASTER DISAPPEARANCE! Again, NO SHOTS FIRED.
On each of those three occasions, I could have ended up DEAD. I did not because I had an “assault weapon” which made a very STRONG argument to the lawless to leave me unmolested.

  26. Congressional candidate : This is what we average Americans stand for. I have a few guns, manly for hunting, but I could use them for other reasons, but I doin’t need to. But I will use one if I have to. 12GA slug is not pretty once fired.

  27. After reading you garbage let me give you an example of how a gun saved my children and myself twice! The first time I saw a man coming across my field heading for my house. My I had a three year old and a six month old sleeping. The man went under my house as I called the police. I quietly got my rifle and waited for the police to arrive. When they did they called him out from under my house, handcuffed him and took him away. When you only have seconds the police are only minutes away! The second time it was late at night and my children were sleeping and I was in bed. I heard a noise in my kitchen, picked up my gun, called the police and headed into the kitchen, there was a man standing there and I told him I had a gun, he turned and ran out the door! Again when you only have seconds the police are only minutes away! I have had guns all my life and come from a family that has always had guns and guess what we have never had to fire one at someone. My guns are used for hunting and self defense period!

  28. The dems are cowards and terrorists. She will chicken out for sure. The baby murdering whore just cant think for herself to do any good in a debate.

  30. Your facts are as twisted as the “logic” bu….it your spreading. Your common sense gun control has done wonders for Chicago. Those people probably sleep better at night knowing that the criminals can get all the guns and ammo they want, but they can’t even hardly get so much as a bb gun to defend themselves. Maybe you and your fellow deamoncrats should move to Canada!! You also have the constitutional right to free travel without restrictions or papers. When was the last time you tried to fly anywhere? Gotta have ID for that. Drive a car , yep gotta have a license (papers) for that. Bus ride, oh yeah more papers comrade. Preach your libtard, communist, anti American propaganda to CNN, MSNBC, ABC, New York times or any one of a dozen fake news losers that do nothing real. Just LIE like a rug. Take off eh!!

  31. Ted Cruz will mop the floors with dare I say the actress. She is a whack job, that thinks abortion is okay also. If you are going to have sex, be responsible and use birth control. ABORTION is not birth control. Abortion is MURDER. But by her own admission she has had two abortions, very irresponsible.

  32. Whereas Cruz is the one with intelligence and Milano is the one who’s ignorance is only surpassed by her stupidity…sit down and shut the hell up, Milano!!! I refuse to even discuss an issue like this with ANY liberal Dumbocrat who thinks it is just fine to kill babies but not fine to own firearms to defend oneself!!! This idiot can go straight to hell!!!

  33. The right to bear arms was intended to protect American Citizens from the GOVERNMENT and, the more democrats say, the more that right is needed. About Melissa Milano — actress? Hardly. I only know her as being on Project Runway All Stars and dressing badly. Never thought she was qualified to make comments on fashion, much less politics. Who on earth cares what she thinks? Engaging with her on any level is beneath Ted Cruz or anyone else in congress.

  34. That’s like the first time I ever shot a gun. It was a 22 and my cousin bet me a soda I couldn’t hit a can laying on its side. I shot it and it went out the bottom dead center. He got so mad that he had to buy me a Dr. Pepper. LOL I never shot another gun with him again. I reckon he didn’t like a girl showing him up. LOL

  35. I am glad to say that I can handle a 12 gauge, a 30-30, an AR, an AK, a 9mm, a 40, a 45, a 357 magnum, a 38 Special, and any other gun my husband has in our safe. I carry my 380 on my side where ever I go. My husband has laughed at me because I talk about guns being pretty. LOL I’m actually talking about the color and designs on some of them. Before 2001 my husband wouldn’t let me have any guns because of my temper. After I started getting my temper under control then I started getting me some. With all our guns combined I don’t think I need to get any more. LOL

  36. I hope they have a rule in this debate that as soon as either resorts to name calling, they are called on it and not allowed to complete that sentence. Pretty soon AM would have nothing to say.

  37. If there is a debate there should be a rule that one cannot interrupt the other and there should be no name calling as stated in the above comment. People like her think they know everything based on nothing but emotion; Cruz speaks with logic, not “feelings”.

  38. Luke 22:36. Maybe we shall trade our guns in for swords. We are to fight and resist EVIL. I can’t think of anything more EVIL than a tyranny government who wants to control everything we do, say, own, and think. They are stepping on many of our God given rights as FREE PEOPLE.

  39. Alyssa has no concept of our history or who our founding fathers were or why they gave us the second amendment. She is a product of lib indoctrination. The saddest part is that there are millions more out there just like her. They are very dangerous to our freedom.

  40. For you, it’s a “sanctity” of IDIOCY issue, as you, with your IQ about a THOUSAND POINTS BELOW ZERO show repeatedly, eh ?

  41. Vasu A FOOL….compare this to your stats…I assume that you will now recommend OUTLAWING POOLS.!?
According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC): 350 children under the age of five drown in pools each year nationwide. The majority of the deaths occur in June, July and August; most in backyard pools.

  42. Hogwash. More people are killed by knives than guns each year. There were 37,000 killed in auto accidents the past year. That’s the entire population of an average city in the US by the way. The causes of all those deaths include alcohol related, drug related, road anger and road rage, inattentive or distracted driving (cell phone or texting, or both, and careless driving. Those whose lives were taken are someones loved ones, friends, or relatives. It’s not the gun but it is what’s in that person’s mind or heart. Criminals are called criminals for a reason and they could care less about the laws you want to pass. They never have cared and most never will. I saw no mention of home invasions which happen almost every single day if not every day. Many of those home invasions are thwarted by a law abiding citizen who owns a gun and home invasions are just one case where a crime is stopped because of a legally armed citizen. There is a good reason why our forefathers put what they did in our Constitution, which isnot out of date by the way.

  43. I noticed you never mentioned CHICAGO, DETROIT, or CALIFORNIA who tout the strictest gun laws on the planet.
Or that “death by knives” in The UK have surpassed the murder rate in New York.

    Guns aren’t the problem.
More children drown in swimming pools than by handling a gun…

People who want to commit suicide will find a way, with or without a gun.
No guns in Denmark or Australia but still lots of suicides…
God bless Denmark and Australia right!!!

    “Democrats for Life of America”
Only a Democrat could come up with a name that was both ironic and an oxymoron. Since “life” and America are the very things they hate most.

You proved who you are to me with your very sarcastic ” god bless america” comment.

If you dont want a plastic straw, an SUV or a gun, dont get one.
Better yet, move to Chicago where guns are banned and you will be safe!!
Oh wait…. only criminals have guns there
Oh well, God bless Chicago right!!!

  44. A supporter of the right of the people to keep and bear arms (as well to manufacture, sell, buy, give, distribute, inherent and transport arms) should always leap at the opportunity to point out all of the things that control advocates ignore or misrepresent. Most of the time, control advocates will be too cowardly to permit the opportunity in the first place, so we ought to actually be thanking Alyssa Milano for willingness to even discuss the matter. One thing that Ted Cruz is ignoring in his politics, though: if you give control advocates an inch, they will steal a mile. He ought to be contemplating suggesting the repeal of the Gun Control Act of 1968, in lieu of entertaining the expansion of background checks that would invariably undermine not only the right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, but due process of law and protection from cruel and unusual punishments as well.
