2020 will be known as the year that destroyed small businesses.
Countless were forced to close down after the government implemented lockdowns with little help coming from anywhere.
But one small business owner is brought to tears after this cultural icon says he is going to financially support the business through the government lockdowns.
Millions of lives were ruined in 2020, not by the coronavirus but, by government lockdowns.
In many parts of the country it is clear that the government is in war with small businesses.
While small businesses can’t have anyone in their stores, a supermarket down the road can be jammed packed.
Bars can’t stay open to serve a drink but the government-run liquor stores just a few blocks away haven’t been forced to close.
These tyrannical rules are strangling small businesses to death with little sign of hope coming from anywhere.
But there is some help coming their way for some small businesses on the verge of dying.
After seeing the suffering caused by the lockdowns, an outspoken critic of the government’s response, Barstool Sports founder and President Dave Portnoy, decided to do something about it.
Portnoy started the Barstool Fund to financially support small businesses on the verge of collapse.

As of Tuesday Night, the Barstool Fund had helped 74 small businesses and had raised over $18 million through both large and small donations.
And the videos of these small businesses getting the news that their way of life isn’t gone is heartwarming.

But one will stand out from the rest as a small business owner gets the news from his daughter that their family business will now survive the government lockdowns thanks to the Barstool Fund.
