Sean Penn made a despicable accusation against Donald Trump

Sean Penn is one of the most insufferable leftists in Hollywood.

He somehow got even worse during Donald Trump’s Presidency.

Now Penn made a despicable accusation against Trump.

Sean Penn is one of the many Hollywood useful idiots who promoted and palled around with Venezuelan socialist President Hugo Chavez.

Once Venezuela collapsed, Penn and other celebrities didn’t say a word about their flavor-of-the-month socialist utopia.

But Penn is all too eager to hammer Donald Trump over his handling of COVID-19.

During a press junket for his latest film Flag Day, Penn said:

“We were — not only as a country, but as a world – let down and openly neglected, misinformed. We had truth and reason assaulted under what was in all terms an obscene administration. [W]hen my team and I would come home from test and vaccinations sites at night, particularly during testing under Trump, to maddening news — it felt like someone with a machine gun gunning down communities that were most vulnerable from a turret at the White House.”

If by misinformation he means Dr. Anthony Fauci, the CDC, the WHO, and other institutions that lit their credibility on fire, then Penn might have a point.

But he doesn’t.

He’s just engaging in melodramatic Trump Derangement Syndrome.

The same people who called Trump a dictator for years seemingly wanted him to usurp the power of individual states and force people inside their homes indefinitely.

It stands to reason that Penn and other leftists would be singing a different tune if Trump had taken that disastrous tack.

Penn added:

“In the transition to the task force that President Biden put together, it was really that feeling like a sun was rising…There was no effort of integrity coming from the federal government until the Trump administration was dismissed.”

This makes zero sense.

The Biden administration did nothing but build on the vaccine rollout already initiated under the Trump administration.

Biden crowed about ramping up vaccinations, but the number of shots per week was relatively the same.

Penn, like other leftists, had a “feeling” that things were better under a Democrat.

Those stubborn facts never seem to matter to the Left.

That’s why they can praise dictators like Hugo Chavez, then run for the hills when Venezuelans are starving and eating zoo animals.
