Scarlett Johansson is a vocal ally of the radical LGBT movement and despises President Trump.
Which is why she never expected her fellow activists to stab her in the back.
But Johansson recently said something that infuriated the LGBT movement and could very well end her career.
Scarlett Johansson was cast for a movie where she would portray a transgender man.
That’s when all hell broke loose.
The LGBT movement demanded she be removed from the role.
Johansson stepped away from the role “out of respect” for the LGBT activists that asked her to.
But when she was asked about why she left the role, she threw the LGBT movement under the bus.
She stated that as an actress she should be able to play any role.
Now, LGBT activists are furious with her.
Actress Scarlett Johansson dismissed claims that she should not be allowed to play certain characters because she does not share their experiences, arguing that all “art should be from restrictions.”
The 34-year-old actress has faced criticism from progressives for accepting roles that don’t match her personal characteristics, most notably as a transgender man in the upcoming film Rub & Tug, as well as an Asian woman in the 2017 film Ghost In The Shell.
“You know, as an actor, I should be allowed to play any person, or any tree, or any animal because that is my job and the requirements of my job,” she said in an interview with As If magazine.
Despite initially agreeing to play the true story of Dante Tex Gil, a transgender man who operated a massage parlor and prostitution ring in Pittsburgh in the 1970s, Johansson eventually withdrew from the film on the grounds that her casting was “insensitive” to the transgender community.
Johansson is by any definition a radical left-wing activist and an ally of the radical LGBT movement.
That’s why it’s so bizarre the two are at odds and throwing each other under the bus.
Johansson is absolutely right.
She is an actress. It is her job to portray roles that she herself has not necessarily experienced.
That is all an actor or actress does.
But the radical members of the LGBT movement couldn’t handle that the role was given to a woman who identifies as her biological gender.
This is just another example of the Left in self-destruction mode.
What do you think?
Was Scarlett Johansson right to call out the LGBT movement?
