Politicians will do and say anything to back their radical agendas.
The more radical the idea, the more outlandish the statements.
And Pete Buttigieg just got caught spreading this bald-faced lie that could sink his campaign.
Coming off of his shocking performance in the Iowa Caucus, Pete Buttigieg is hitting all the media stops to increase his name recognition.
One of those recent stops was on the The View where he was called out for one outlandish lie.
Back last fall, Buttigieg claimed his support for abortion up until the moment of birth comes from the Bible.
Buttigieg claimed the Bible states that “life begins with breath.”
Co-host of The View, Meghan McCain, confronted Buttigieg about this past statement supporting infanticide.
Meghan McCain exclaimed, “I think the interpretation from pro-life people like me was that you meant a baby actually being born . . . I just wanted you to clarify, because I found that statement to be pretty radical.”
Buttigieg responded, “I’m just pointing to the fact that different people will interpret their own moral lights, and for that matter interpret Scripture, differently. But we live in a country where it is extremely important that no one person should have to be subject to some other person’s interpretation of their own religion.”
Agitated by his response, Meghan McCain pressed on.
Meghan asked, “So if a woman wanted to invoke infanticide after a baby is born, you’d be comfortable with that?”
Buttigieg claimed, “Does anybody seriously think that’s what these cases are about? If this is a late-term situation, then by definition it’s one where a woman was expecting to carry the pregnancy to term. Then she gets the most perhaps devastating news of her life. We’re talking about families that may have picked out a name, may be assembling a crib, and they learn something excruciating and are faced with this terrible choice . . .”
Buttigieg’s bald-face lie about late-term abortion caught the criticism of many pro-life leaders and organizations.
On Twitter, Pro-Life organization Susan B. Anthony List, cited research showing the main reasons for late term abortions aren’t fundamentally different from those who have abortions before 20 weeks. Some of the most commonly given reasons were, “1. Stressful circumstances of unprepared pregnancy 2. Single-motherhood 3. Financial pressure 4. Relationship discord.”
These are the reasons they gave:
1. Stressful circumstances of unprepared pregnancy
3. Financial pressure
4. Relationship discord

Pro-Life leader and President of the Students for Life, Kristan Hawkins tweeted, “I have ZERO tolerance for Christians who claim to a moral high ground and then can’t tell the truth about when life begins and when it should be protected in order to advance their own political career. Go home, Mayor Pete, and save the justice campaign for this #prolifegen.”
