Radical leftists are playing an incredibly dangerous game.
Their use of identity politics is eroding the unity of the country.
Now, far-left gay activists are further splintering the country with their latest ridiculous move.
Left-wing activists are using identity politics to “progress” the nation toward segregation along a variety of lines.
One of those lines is homosexuality.
Gay activists have moved beyond acceptance, and now demand accordance.
If a Christian baker or florist chooses not to participate in a gay wedding because it goes against his or her religious beliefs of traditional marriage, liberal activists turn their lives upside down with harassment campaigns and endless litigation.
However, liberals are again exhibiting the hypocrisy they’re famous for.
Activists in Michigan are opening a bank specifically catering to gay and transgender individuals.
BizPac Review reports:
Why is a credit union for gay people needed? Because gay people allegedly need a “safe space” to conduct their banking services, according to Democrat Senator Jeremy Moss.
“State law doesn’t protect Michigan’s LGBTQ community from discrimination in the workplace and public accommodations,” he said in a statement to The Oakland Press. “It’s burdensome that gay and trans Michiganders must depend on private businesses to take it upon themselves to provide equal treatment to employees and consumers.”
“Fortunately, many LGBTQ business owners and entrepreneurs have stepped up to specifically cater to the needs of our community, and I’m especially excited to welcome in Superbia Credit Union to Michigan as a safe space to bank and obtain lines of credit without fear of discrimination,” he added.
Meanwhile, Democrat presidential candidate Beto O’Rourke is calling on big banks to shut down financial transactions of Americans he disagrees with.
If bankers want to hand out loans to individuals seeking to “transition” to the opposite gender, be my guest.
But don’t come crawling back to American taxpayers when it inevitably fails.
Loans should be determined by quantifiable metrics like income, assets, and credit score – not by sexuality.
As soon as political ideology gets in the way, the financial ramifications can be catastrophic.
Look no further than the subprime mortgage crisis that wrecked the economy in 2008.
And according to a study by the National Center on Transgender Equality, people in the LGBT “community” are twice as likely to live in poverty.
This business endeavor sounds like it’s destined for poverty, but it also moves the country one step closer to fracturing along identity lines.
Do you think there’s a double standard for LGBT activists who routinely harass and intimidate Christian bakers for standing up for their religious convictions?
