Joe Biden has tried to portray himself as a devout Catholic.
The corporate-controlled press has even laughably tried to make that claim.
But his claim just got backhanded by a Church leader that no one expected.
Pope Francis made one jaw-dropping statement about Joe Biden that raised lots of eyebrows.
Pope Francis is a stone-cold leftist on a number of issues.
He believes in a form of liberation theology as well as other left-wing causes.
But he has not moved on abortion, much to the dismay of the Democrats who otherwise celebrate him.
Nevertheless, Biden’s fellow abortion supporter Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) recently received communion in Francis’ presence, albeit from another priest.
In the wake of that, Pope Francis decided he needed to call out Biden’s stance on abortion, calling it “incoherence.”
Francis stated of abortion “a month after conception, the DNA of the fetus is already there and the organs are aligned. There is human life … is it just to eliminate a human life?”
On Biden specifically, Francis said his stance is up to his “conscience” and “let (Biden) talk to his pastor about that incoherence.”
Biden, as well as other Catholic Democrats like Pelosi, have somehow reconciled their radical pro-abortion politics with their supposed faith.
Last year, Biden said, “I respect them—those who believe life begins at the moment of conception and all—I respect that. Don’t agree, but I respect that.”
And the Bible disagrees with Biden.
Cardinal Wilton Gregory of Washington, D.C. responded at the time, “The Catholic Church teaches, and has taught, that life—human life—begins at conception. So the president is not demonstrating Catholic teaching.”
Pelosi herself has butted heads with the Catholic Church on the abortion issue.
Her own priest, Archbishop Salvatore Cordileone of San Francisco, wrote to her in a letter, “[Y]ou are not to be admitted to Holy Communion, until such time as you publicly repudiate your advocacy for the legitimacy of abortion and confess and receive absolution of this grave sin in the sacrament of Penance.”
Needless to say, Pelosi did not do that.
Pelosi received communion at a church in Washington, D.C. as well as the recent Papal Mass in Rome.
Also, Cordileone was passed up for a promotion not long after his letter to Pelosi.
Pope Francis has opposed abortion at every turn.
He once stated, “First question: is it okay to eliminate a human life to solve a problem? Second question: is it okay to hire a hitman to solve a problem? … Last century, the whole world was scandalized by what the Nazis did to purify the race. Today, we do the same thing but with white gloves.”
“Woke” leftists actually argue that abortion is an “act of love.”
The pope strongly disagrees with that Democrat talking point.
Unfortunately, Francis refuses to put his foot down when it comes to pro-abortion politicians like Biden and Pelosi receiving Holy Communion.
Hopefully that will change soon.
