Despite the outcry over their support of abortion, Pope Francis had a lengthy meeting with this Biden official

The divide in the Catholic church continues to grow as the debate over allowing pro-abortion politicians to participate in Holy Communion rages.

Archbishops from across the country continue to call for the likes of Nancy Pelosi and Joe Biden to be denied participation in the Eucharist.

But despite the outcry over their support of abortion, Pope Francis had a lengthy meeting with this Biden official.

At the beginning of June, the U.S. Council of Bishops overwhelmingly voted to draft a document that clearly outlined those who were eligible to participate in Holy Communion.

This decision came after many attacked the Catholic church for letting vocal, pro-abortion politicians – who claim to be Catholic – participate in the sacrament.

Despite the clear demand that the Catholic church stands by its centuries of teachings that state abortion is murder and therefore deemed a grievous sin, Pope Francis has remained largely silent on the issue.

During Joe Biden’s first overseas trip, which proved to be a disaster, the Pope turned down a meeting with the President giving many devout Catholics hope that maybe the highest-ranking official in the Catholic church would stand by them.

Still, however, Pope Francis hasn’t said much.

Now news has been released of a rather lengthy meeting between Pope Francis and U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken.

The pontiff gave Blinken a substantial chunk of his time, especially for a government official who isn’t a national leader.

According to Vatican spokesman Matteo Bruni, “It lasted about 40 minutes, and it was for the pope, the occasion to recall his 2015 visit and to express his affection and his attention to the people of the United States of America.”

If this is the pontiff’s way of trying to smooth over the debate among Catholics in the U.S., it’s a lousy attempt at bringing them together.

Pope Francis is known as the most liberal man to hold the position, which has many concerned at his inaction over these so-called Catholics partaking of Holy Communion.

Conservative U.S. bishops continue to clamor for clear directives from the Pope in how to handle these politicians who are clearly going against church teachings in their support of abortion.

Still, His Holiness isn’t offering any guidance.

Blinken is the first high-level official of Biden’s administration to have a private meeting with the Pope.

In stark contrast, just last year, Blinken’s predecessor, Secretary of State under President Trump, Mike Pompeo, wasn’t granted a private meeting with Francis.

The Vatican says it was because the Pope thought the meeting might display favoritism just weeks before the U.S. Presidential election.

Blinken is of Jewish heritage and has no dog in the Catholic fight other than he is a clear mouthpiece for the very pro-abortion Biden administration.

The Democrats have the media and Big Tech in their back pocket, and it’s starting to look like the Pope is liberal-controlled as well.

Most recently, Pope Francis applauded the work of an American priest in reaching out to the LGBT people stressing the inclusive nature of his faith.

This is not the first time Francis has stirred up controversy over his liberal attitude towards sexual orientation, which is in direct conflict with the Catholic church’s teachings.

He may not want to get involved in the ongoing debate in the U.S. Catholic church, but Pope Francis must know his actions are clear indicators of who he aligns with and what he stands for, and it doesn’t align with Biblical teachings.

If the Pope is aligning with Biden’s administration and their extreme liberal ideals, there is no doubt the Catholic church, and what it stands for, is in serious trouble.
