Amazon has quietly changed their app’s icon and their reasoning is outrageous

There is little that online retail giant Amazon does quietly.

Recently, its founder Jeff Bezos stepped down and it was front-page news all over the world for days.

But now Amazon has quietly changed their app’s icon and their reasoning is outrageous.

You may not have even noticed the change, it happened so quietly and quickly, but seemingly overnight many users noticed the Amazon app icon on their phone screen seemed a little different.

While most thought nothing of it at first, once the news began to surface as to why the app icon was changed, people started to understand just how ridiculously “woke” Amazon is trying to be these days.

In January, Amazon changed their easily recognizable shopping cart logo for the first time in five years.

Seems the redesign didn’t sit well with left-wing extremists who thought it resembled Hitler’s mustache.

The Left will make anything appear racist these days.

It didn’t take long before a Twitter storm started after someone pointed out that they “saw Hitler’s mustache” in the app logo.

Suddenly, many other Twitter users saw it too.

Of course, in a never-ending quest to pander to the Left, Amazon decided the icon needed to be changed.

In the original redesign, launched in January, the blue tape on the package had a jagged edge that looks like it was cut using a packing tape dispenser’s teeth.

But since super woke people on Twitter thought it looked like Adolf Hitler’s mustache Amazon tweaked it to give it a straight cut with the corner pulled up.

Amazon never directly addressed the change.

However, in a statement to USA TODAY, Amazon said the app icon change, the first in five years, was part of its strategy to find ways to “delight our customers.”

In the statement, the company explained, “We designed the new icon to spark anticipation, excitement, and joy when customers start their shopping journey on their phone, just as they do when they see our boxes on their doorstep.”

Sorry, Amazon, but it seems your customers saw Hitler, not joy.
