Democrats have made it clear they are either outright hostile to Christianity or they have to pretend to be “Christian enough” to get elected.
But one Democrat candidate just made a big mistake claiming to be an expert on the Bible.
And when this frontrunner was caught lying about the Bible, he was called out by the last person he ever expected.
Pete Buttigieg has been running as a “moderate” Democrat and has even talked about his faith publically.
But there are two big problems.
Buttigieg has attempted to justify the sin of homosexuality and now abortion using Scripture.
Now, his brother-in-law is publicly calling him out and telling him that he needs to “repent” for professing falsehoods that are not supported by the Bible.
The Daily Caller reports:
Democratic presidential candidate Pete Buttigieg’s evangelical brother-in-law says the South Bend, Indiana mayor needs to “repent” for finding a false Biblical basis to justify his abortion views.
Pastor Ryan Glezman told the Washington Examiner Friday that he believes Buttigieg is deliberately distorting scripture in an attempt to appeal to evangelical voters. He was especially shocked by Buttigieg’s assertion that according to the Bible, life does not begin at conception but only when the infant first breathes.
Buttigieg made the remarks Friday morning during a rambling interview with “The Breakfast Club” that included commentary about his homosexuality and his appeal to black voters.
Buttigieg has repeatedly made comments about Republicans not living up to their purported Christian beliefs — even saying that conservative Christians are hypocrites for not supporting a $15 minimum wage.
But Glezman said his brother-in-law’s latest comments forced him to speak publicly.
To be clear, no one is telling Pete Buttigieg to turn away from Christ.
But it is wrong to spread lies and false information while using the Bible as your basis.
Nowhere in Scripture does the Bible tell Christians to support abortion.
Buttigieg has used the Bible to claim that Christians should all support a $15 minimum wage as well.
He should think twice before using God to justify every single position that he holds.
What do you think?
Is Pete Buttigieg wrong to claim that the Bible supports abortion and his homosexual lifestyle? Should he instead ask for forgiveness?
